The Interlaken Historic Preservation Committee was formed in 1994 for the purpose of preserving the history of the Borough for future generations. The Committee has begun the exciting process of collecting artifacts relating to the Borough's founding and development. In addition, a program of oral history interviews has been developed in an effort to document life in Interlaken during the earlier years. In the coming year, the Committee will continue the required research to have our beautiful entrance gates included on the State Registry of Historic Places. Contributions of historic materials relating to Interlaken are always being sought. The Committee also welcomes suggestions, new ideas, and new members.
